FAQs about Betrayal Trauma Therapy in Maryland
What services do you offer?
1
I offer virtual therapy for adults in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., including Frederick County, Montgomery County communities such as Bethesda, Potomac, Rockville, and Chevy Chase, and Howard County areas including Columbia and Ellicott City. I also serve clients in Northern Virginia and across the greater Washington D.C. area.
My approach integrates EMDR, Pia Mellody's Post Induction Model, Interpersonal Neurobiology, and Conflict Influencer training to support adults navigating betrayal trauma, relational wounds, and family-of-origin patterns.
How long are the sessions?
2
Sessions typically last 45-50 minutes.
Where are sessions held?
3
Sessions are conducted through secure telehealth.
How much does therapy cost?
4
Please call or email me to discuss pricing. I am a private pay therapist and do not accept insurance, but I can provide a superbill that you can submit to your provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
Will my insurance cover it?
5
Since I am a private pay therapist and do not accept insurance, I have no way of knowing if your particular insurance provider will cover the costs of my services after assessing your superbill.
What’s the first step in getting started?
6
Contact me using this form on my Contact page, or email Kara@HeartCenteredTherapyLLC.com.
I will be in touch with you shortly and we can schedule a free 15-minute consultation to start.
Do you offer coaching or consulting?
7
Yes. In addition to licensed therapy for clients in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., I offer coaching and consulting services that are available more broadly. Coaching and consulting do not require state licensure and can be a good fit for clients outside the therapy states, or for those seeking goal-directed support that falls outside the scope of clinical treatment. Please reach out to discuss which service is the right fit for your situation.
